Explore Thoreau’s lifelong quest to be a better observer with Michelle Blees, Acting Chief of Interpretation and Education at Minute Man National Historical Park. Join Blees for a gallery talk in This Ever New Self: Thoreau and His Journal and her perspective on Thoreau as observer. Learn what Thoreau can teach us today about slowing down to really see the world around us.
Throughout 2017, Concord is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of writer and thinker Henry Thoreau (1817-1862). Accordingly, the Concord Museum along with program partners throughout the community have developed a year-long initiative for 2017, “Be Thoreau,” which encourages us to explore the writer’s work from a historical and contemporary perspective.
Free with Museum admission; Concord Museum and Friends of Minute Man National Park free.
