Step back in time to 1847 to celebrate Henry Thoreau’s 30th Birthday!
Henry has been living at Walden Pond for just over two years. What is he doing there? What’s life like in 19th Century Concord? How will he be celebrating his birthday? These questions (and more) will be answered as you visit with Mr. Thoreau (portrayed by Historian Richard Smith) at his Walden Pond home.
This Living History Program has become a much anticipated annual event! It is FREE and open to the Public. There is a parking fee at Walden Pond State Reservation.
Sponsored by Walden Pond State Reservation and Massachusetts DCR
