The Marlborough Conservation Commission will celebrate the Bicentennial of Henry David Thoreau’s birth with a free Nature Walk at the Desert Natural Area in Marlborough on Saturday, October 28th from 1-3 PM. (Rain date Sunday, October 29)
Join Priscilla Ryder and Karin Paquin from the Conservation Commission who will lead a guided nature walk through a beautiful wooded trail where Henry David Thoreau once walked and we will stop at a beautiful resting spot half way to read a portion of his essays entitled “Walking” which is in fact about this area he explored. Dress for the weather and wear footwear that is comfortable on an easy wood trail.
Meet at the Desert Natural Area parking lot on Concord Rd. in Marlborough (across from 1110 Concord Rd.) Free parking. No restrooms are onsite. Plan in advance! Register by calling 508-460-3768 (so we know what to plan for) Walk-ins welcome.
