Henry David Thoreau’s writings, especially Civil Disobedience (1849) and  Walden (1854), were products of his own time and place.  But the world is just now catching up with his insights into economy, society, politics, and the human relationship with nature. Join UMass historian David Glassberg on
an exploration of Thoreau and his legacy on the 200th anniversary of Thoreau’s birth.
