Location: Concord Museum
This Labor Day walking tour visits sites in and around Concord Center, where Museum Interpreter Judy Fichtenbaum will set the Women of Concord — some famous, some almost invisible — in the landscape.
Since 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of Henry David Thoreau’s birth, this walk will focus in on the Thoreau women, Cynthia Dunbar Thoreau, Helen Thoreau, and Sophia Thoreau. Remarkable women in their own right who preserved the legacy of their son and brother.
Meet at the Concord Museum.
$10 Concord Museum Members; $15 Nonmembers. Museum admission included. Reserve online, or call 978-369-9763 ext. 216.
